But look closer...the cow once drawn to resemble the late, great Vegan, a cherished Gentle Barn icon, has been lovingly reimagined to depict John Lewis as a calf, one of the beautiful animals living at The Gentle Barn today. 

It's a passing of the torch. The spirit of Vegan lives on in every hug shared at our sanctuary, and now lives on through the sweet face of John Lewis. 

Nearly identical to the original, this updated version is a quiet tribute: honoring the animals we have loved and lost while celebrating the ones we get to love today.
